Common Problems Exporting Dante Labs Reports

Exporting a large report library can hit snags: session timeouts, blank PDFs, or reports that seem to download but come out incomplete. These come up most often.

Session expired mid-export

The export stops partway through, or new report pages show a login screen.

Refresh genome.dantelabs.com/conditions, log in again, and restart the export. For large libraries, export in smaller batches or use a tool that resumes from where it left off.

Blank or truncated PDFs

The PDF file exists but pages are empty, or content cuts off mid-table.

Open the condition manually in Chrome first and use Download PDF to confirm the report loads. If that single download fails, the bulk export will fail for the same report too. Disable browser extensions that block scripts or modify page content, then retry.

Individual Download PDF fails on one report

A single condition's Download PDF button returns an error or a non-PDF file.

Confirm you are still logged in and the condition page loads normally. Try that report's Download PDF button manually first. If Dante's button fails, the extension cannot fetch that PDF either.

Report count mismatch

Your export has fewer PDFs than reports shown on the portal.

Scroll through the full report list on genome.dantelabs.com to load lazy-loaded entries before exporting. Some reports may be in a collapsed category. Expand all sections first.

Browser compatibility issues

The export tool behaves differently across browsers.

Use Google Chrome on a desktop machine for the most reliable results. Avoid mobile browsers for bulk exports.

Downloads blocked or ZIP not appearing

The export completes but no file appears in Downloads.

Check Chrome's download bar for blocked downloads. Ensure Downloads folder permissions are normal. Disable aggressive antivirus scanning that quarantines ZIP files from browser extensions.
